Manny Pacquiao foundation receives support from PLDT/SMART

The foundation set up by Filipino ring hero Manny Pacquiao received today a P1,000,000 donation from telco leader PLDT and its wireless subsidiary SMART. Pacquiao himself received the good news when he paid a courtesy visit today to PLDT/SMART Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan, a staunch advocate of sports who is also chair of the Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines (ABAP). Helping Filipino athletes and supporting sports programs are a part of PLDT and SMART's commitment towards fueling sports enthusiasm and enhancing the Philippines’ chance of one day winning an Olympic gold.
