ABAP Chairman Manny Pangilinan Salutes Pacman’s Victory

The victory of the Filipino great boxer of all times has indeed inspired our boxers to go for gold in the coming Olympics and all other boxing challenges there is. Manny Pacquiao is the man to watch as the Americans and Britons say of him.

Few months ago, the national boxing competition was hosted by Bacolod City and Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines (ABAP) Chairman and Chairman of PLDT-SMART Manuel V. Pangilinan announced that any boxer who wins a gold for the country in the coming Olympic games will receive a cold cash pocket of Php12 million.

In his announcement, Pangilinan gave the inspiration to the Filipino amateur boxers to excel in the sport as the ABAP is now here to extend more support to boxing with him as the chairman.

After the knockout victory of Pacquiao in the second round against Hatton, Pangilinan issued his personal statement –“ Manny Pacquiao’s stunning victory over such a formidable opponent has made all Filipinos prouder as a nation. With his shining example, our faith in God and a lot of hard work, I am hopeful we will finally win our Olympic gold”.

Pangilinan and PLDT-SMART are now moving muscles to help Philippine boxers get inspired and make them one of the best boxers in the world.(oj-pr)
